The European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF) recently unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 Pet Industry Survey Report at its annual conference in Madrid, focusing on "Building Trust and Transparency in Pet Food Industry". Key Findings Reveal Robust Market Growth
The survey highlights that Europe's pet population (excluding aquatic animals) has reached 282 million, with 139 million households owning at least one pet. The pet food market value soared to €29.3 billion, registering a 9% annual growth rate, demonstrating strong market vitality. Industrially, over 400 enterprises and 500 factories across Europe are now engaged in pet food innovation, underpinning sector expansion.
"Data shows pet-keeping remains a prevailing trend in Europe, with nearly half of households having companion animals," noted FEDIAF President Rosa Carbonell. "Concurrently, the pet food industry is rapidly innovating to meet demands for high-quality, innovative, and customized nutrition."
